CARGO CULT selected from thousands of screenplays in 2013 Academy Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship Competition

We’re proud to announce that CARGO CULT has reached the Quarterfinal Round of the 2013 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting.  By doing so, Cargo Cult  was one of only a small number of entries to advance beyond the First Round.  With 7,251 scripts entered, and many entries submitted by past finalists, the initial round was more competitive than in any previous year.

Nicholl Fellowships are awards given by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences with only five fellowships for screenwriting awarded annually.  Previous fellows include writers from Sex and the City, Castle, The Vampire Diaries, Erin Brokovich, 28 Days, Charlotte’s Web, Pocahontas, and Party of Five.  Read the letter of acknowledgement.
